A MUM-of-two is organising a day of protest in Heywood to call for tougher sentences for people who harm children.
Tracy Isherwood, of Tower Street, is launching her campaign called ‘Justice For Children’ with an event at The Heywood on Tower Street tomorrow (Tuesday 3rd December 08).
From 7am until 7pm, Tracey, her daughters Kayleigh O’Hara, 21, and Kristi-Leigh Podmore, 14, and friends, will have a petition to sign along with information boards for people to read about the campaign.
Tracy, who works part time as a youth worker, said: “There will be a petition to sign and information boards to read, as well as a peaceful protest.
“Anybody is welcome, they can just drop in to sign the petition or stay a bit longer to chat to us."
As well as organising the day of protest, Tracy also plans to travel to London for the sentencing of Baby P’s killers as part of her campaign and to lay flowers on the toddler's grave.
