WHO WAS BEATEN TO DEATH FOR BEING A GOTH

The family of sophie lancaster have released a haunting picture of her battered face as she lay fighting for her life in a hospital bed.

Her eyes purple with bruising and kept alive by machinery, The 20 year old student was eventually to die of her injuries 13 days after the attack.

Tragically, she has substained the fatal wounds after trying to protact her boyfriend from a savage beating.

Victim : Boyfriend Robert, who was also beaten by the thugs.

Binge drinking Brenden Harris 15 and Ryan Herbert 16 had drunk at least four pints of strong cider and downed shots of schnapps when they stamped on the heads of Sophie and Robert.

It emerged that the thugs had been found guilty of affray over a similar attack on a 16 year old boy close to the same park 4 months earlier, but instead of being locked up, they were freed with a 6-month community service order.

The murderers, Brenden Harris was sentenced to 18 years, in jail. Ryan Herbert 16 years, brothers Joseph & Danny hulme 5 years & 10 months and Daniel Mallet 4 years & 4 months....

On The 24th November 1993 The 2 Boys, by then 11, were found guilty of murder at Preston Crown Court.The trial judge sent enced them to be detained at her majestrys pleasure, with a recomendationthat they should be kept in custody for (very,very many years to come).

Shortly after the trial lord Taylor of Gosforth the Lord Chief Justice,ordered that the 2 boys should serve a minimium of 10 years.
